Policies

To keep costs down, there is no storefront/shop/office. Available by Appointment Only. On-site, online, or arranged meeting only.
Effective October 29, 2010

All on-site visits:

• Smoke damaged computers are not served- please clean it out yourself
• Charges: flat rate per visit or per remote session or on a fixed monthly service plan
• It is a policy to check that everything is operational before leaving, and notify customer if it is not. It is also a policy to check that the user is satisfied be for leaving.
• Customers pay for all parts in addition to labor. To keep costs down, I only carry a limited supply of parts. Most parts need to be ordered online or bought at a local retailer. Parts/software supplied by you, or I will order with minimal markup plus any tax.
• We do not take anything off site that is yours with the exception of defective parts. We do not take entire computers off site.
• May refuse work because of dangerous driving conditions or any dangerous condition
• There may be an additional charge for mileage or drive time when not already in the area (currently no charge for cities of Brainerd/Baxter)
• We may also refuse work that we are not well trained or capable of.
• Rework may be done or refunds may be given on a case by case basis.  Driving fees are nonrefundable.
• There is a $5 discount for work within 0.25 mile of bus routes of Brainerd/Baxter during bus route times or if technician is able to bike.
• Obsolete:
  • we do not replace floppy drives
  • we do not work on AT machines
  • Windows ME, 98 and earlier are not supported
  • There will be only limited support for dial-up
    internet.

On-site Home Visits:

• Homes that are smoked in are not served
• Please keep pets away from technician
• Home visits require pay immediately after service while technician is there unless on a service plan paid ahead.
• A written or email receipt will be given by request.  All transactions are recorded.
